Hustle GYM - Jakarta, Indonesia

Hustle is a high-energy spinning studio in Jakarta, designed to feel more like a nightclub than a traditional gym. The space is packed with moving lights, beams cutting through haze, bold color shifts, and constant motion that turns every ride into an immersive experience.

I collaborated on the overall design of the space, helping shape the visual direction and atmosphere. I was fully responsible for the lighting programming and system setup, building all the looks and effects from scratch.

 

The lighting was carefully structured around the different training intensities, deep and focused for endurance climbs, explosive and fast for sprints, and more open and breathable for recovery moments.

The instructor controls everything live through a stand-alone hardware controller, triggering cues and changing effects in real time. This makes every class feel dynamic and reactive to the music and the energy in the room.

 

Hustle is not just a workout, it’s a show, and the lighting plays a key role in driving that adrenaline.
